Mural Project Great Black and White Photographers part 3
1. What theme, that we could take here at school and think of one for OFF campus too, could we do a series of these panels to place around the school?
A theme that we could take here at school is, emptiness. For example, emptiness of the halls, of the courtyard, or even classrooms. Things that could be done OFF campus to show emptiness are emptiness of streets, emptiness of a restaurant, or even cars in a parking lot because no one is in their cars.
2. Should we use phones only, or should we open it up to our regular cameras for those people that don't have camera phones?
I think we should open up to cameras.
3. Where would you want to put the mural on campus?
I would want to put the mural to be somewhere where people would actually see it. So, I think the mural should be placed by the library, that way when you walk into the academic building, all eyes will be drawn to it.

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them? Post the images with your writing.
What first caught my I while i was looking at my photographers pictures was how pretty the landscape looked. I have always liked landscape as soon as I started taking pictures. The way the land stands out in the picture is really pretty and pleasing. There is nothing in particular about WHY I chose the photos, its just that I really liked how it came together to create one beautiful picture.
2.) Look at those 2 photos you posted last time in the assignment Great Black and White Photographers Part 2. Use your five senses to tell me more about those photos. Answer them on your blog.
First Photo:
I see the water of the river moving so rapidly. My eyes can't stay still because the thing that i'm following with my eyes is moving too fast. I can see the trees moving as the wing gusts by.
I smell the air that comes with the breeze. I am getting a hint of freshly cut grass. As you move closer to the water, the stench of fish lingers in your nose.
I hear the calling of baby birds to their mama bird. The moving of the river leaves you with the sound of water brushing up against the rocks. The flapping of the birds wings reigns up above my head.
I taste the freshness of fruit on a hot summer day. My mouth waters as I look around and find some berries on a bush. The felling inside my mouth fulfills with satisfaction of eating fruit.
I feel the softness of the green grass below my feet. The cool breeze that the wind leaves behind. I also feel the burning of the sun shining on my back.
Second Photo
I see the foot prints of a tiny rabbit that just traveled through the snow. The clouds up above me moving vastly in the sky. I can see the sun barely peeking out of the clouds.
I smell the freshness of the pine trees. The smell of pine cones linger in the air. The nice aroma of Christmas Hand soaps is in the air.
I hear silence. There is no sound to be heard but the shutter of a camera. One step of mine and all you can hear is the crunch of the snow beneath me.
I taste the warm handmade gingerbread that my grandma made to keep me warm. The thought of nice, hot, refreshing hot chocolate makes my mouth water.
I feel delightful. Everything around me has stopped except for the joy that needs to be felt. No worry or stress is in me. The breeze of the cool winter wind brushes up against my cheeks and chills me.
3.) Finally, what would you like to create to show the world your great photographer. Ideas include, posters, power points, a blog, etc. You tell me what you would like to create so we can come up with a plan to share your thoughts and ideas about your photographer with your classmates and with the rest of the school.
I would like to create a poster or a blog to show the rest of the world my great photographer. I would want to create either of those things because with a poster or a blog, you can put as many pictures that you want and don't have to worry about them being in the wrong spot.
