Painting Recreation


I am most likely going to be recreating this painting.
The lighting is coming straight on from the camera.
I can duplicate the light by just having the camera flash on
I will need a yellow background
This painter used a variety of simple geometric shapes
I will need a white shirt with black polkadots on them, red lipstick and a person with long hair to make a bun
My niece or cousin would be a good model
The model will just need to be looking straight ahead and holding a neutral or natural resting face
The 3 most difficult things will probably be finding a yellow wall, finding the perfect polkadot shirt, and getting the bun to be perfect


The light looks like it's coming from the front as well
I can duplicate the light by finding a good angle using the sun
The trees in the background
A lot of asymmetrical figures compose the image
A lot of fabric such as a white shirt, maybe some mesh material
My niece or cousin would be a good model, again
The model will need to look to the side and kind of have their eye in an upward angle, their hand will need to be relaxed on their leg(?)
The 3 most difficult things will probably be finding all the clothing, finding the perfect background, and getting the clothing to look like the painting


The light is coming from the left
I can duplicate that by having my ring light be on the left side of the camera
A black background
I don't really know what types of angles the painter used
A black graduation robe maybe
My uncle or my brother would be good models
The model will need to have their hands in what looks like prayer hands, looking off to the side with their body angled
The 3 most difficult things will be getting the photo to have a mostly black background, making the photos have warm undertones, and finding a black graduation robe

A. What is the most powerful image from the pictures printed in the Denver Post over the three weeks they published images from the year of coverage? Why? I think the most powerful image was the picture on 22A because it is a picture of Ian Fisher sitting all alone looking down thinking about how this is going to be the rest of his life. School Uniforms For this topic I could possibly interview a member of the board who decided to enforce the uniforms, I could interview the principal that works at the school where the uniforms are being enforced, and I could interview a staff member/ high ranked teachers that works at the school where the uniforms are being put into place.
